The 6 Gp CIS is the only special communication and information operations unit within the Special Operations Regiment. It is specialised in airborne operations, clandestine operations, command and control, cyber warfare, HUMINT, intelligence analysis, irregular warfare, long-range infiltration, military communications, SIGINT, special operations and special reconnaissance.

UNIT 6 GP CIS
6th GROUP COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS
The unit has been operational since 2002 and was integrated into the Special Operations Regiment in 2018.
Its primary mission is to provide communication and information support to the regiment’s various units during operations and training, as well as support to special operations and special reconnaissance, including disrupting military communications behind enemy lines.
FUNCTIES
EACH SPECIALIST WITHIN 6 GP CIS PLAYS A CRUCIAL ROLE IN MAINTAINING COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS, WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY OF THE SPECIAL OPERATIONS REGIMENT. SPECIALISATION AND CLOSE COOPERATION STRENGTHEN THE DIFFERENT UNITS, ENSURING EFFICIENCY, PRECISION AND OPERATIONAL POWER.

Specialised in tactical communications, satellite communications and digital networks in hostile environments.
